Know your country!

Try to learn as much as you can about your country's recent history, economy, people, government and culture.

Become acquainted with your country's neighbours, allies and enemies too because they can influence your policies.

The quality of the entire debates, and that of your own contribution, will depend largely on how well you know the country you are representing, and how true you remain to your country's position. Are you really going to run the risk of losing your job on returning home from New York?!
